About The Rejuvenate Retreat

No one understands where you’ve been, like another woman diagnosed with ovarian cancer. This day is all about rejuvenating your mind, body, and spirit! Engage in group activities, take a leisurely walk around the lake, chat with an old friend, and make lots of new ones as well! The day is designed with you in mind!

We have picked Lake Katherine for its peaceful and calming atmosphere that will set the tone for this event. And the activities we are incorporating, such as yoga, music therapy, oncology massage, and more, will help lessen anxiety and make you feel like a new person at the end of our retreat!

She received her doctorate from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology and specializes in the treatment of identity-related concerns, women’s health, couples counseling, trauma, and chronic health conditions. She is also an ambassador for the Stanford Cancer Institute Community Partnership Program, the City of Hope (formerly Cancer Treatment Centers of America) – Cancer Fighters organization, the Celebrating Life Foundation, and the St. Vincent & The Grenadines Medical Association (SVGMA) in her father’s birthplace in the West Indies. Additionally, Karla’s courageous story has been featured on the Today Show.

Author Karla Baptiste leads a monthly journaling class entitled “Writing Through It” for Cancer Fighters members connected with City of Hope, one of our event sponsors.
