Educating Rosalind Franklin Medical Students – Chicago Market
Each October, Survivor and NOCC volunteer, Maria Ciesla and her daughter Alex present their story to the 1st Year students at the Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Sciences. Maria focuses on living with ovarian cancer, and how she and other family members are living with the BRCA 1 genetic mutation. It is so important that survivors and their families share their stories with the medical community to keep ovarian cancer in their minds and they complete their medical training.
