DESCRIPTION:Strikes Against Cancer was the idea of 11 year old Geordon Cox during his mother’s four year battle with endometrial and cervical cancer. He decided to join his mother in her fight by channeling his frustration, love, and energy in to something positive and Strikes Against Cancer was born. Geordon lost his mother, Lisa, in November 2012.\nOver 10 years later, this tournament has evolved into more than baseball, it has become a Life Event. Families travel great distances a week before the games to take advantage of the renown North Texas Cancer Facilities throughout the Dallas Metro-Plex. Strikes Against Cancer donates to fight ALL forms of cancer. These proceeds go specifically to clinical research. They go to; The American Brain Tumor Association, Melanoma Research Foundation, National Ovarian Cancer Coalition, and Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
