Director of the Board
The National Ovarian Cancer Coalition's mission is to raise awareness and promote education about ovarian cancer. The Coalition is committed to improving the survival rate and quality of life for women with ovarian cancer.
NOCC is currently seeking candidates to expand its Board leadership. As NOCC's volunteer governing body, members of the Board of Directors, using a prescribed model of Board Governance, assume the organization's overall vision, legal, fiscal, and ethical responsibilities. The role enables establishment of policies and formulates long-range plans to assure the growth and visibility of NOCC and its programs.
Successful candidates will have positive convictions regarding the mission, goals, and objectives of NOCC, and its program and activities; participate in fund raising for the organization; contribute financially and in-kind to the organization; regularly attend meetings; participate actively in committee work, contribute to consensus decision-making, and volunteer and accept assignments in support of the mission. Candidates with business experience including Finance, Marketing or Public Relations are encouraged to apply.
