The National Ovarian Cancer Coalition with headquarters in Dallas, Texas is looking for a Chief Executive Officer who believes that he/she can help make a difference with an organization whose mission is to raise awareness and promote education about ovarian cancer. The Coalition is committed to improving the survival rate and quality of life for women with ovarian cancer.
Working with the Board of Directors, staff and a volunteer chapter organization you will develop and implement a strategic plan including timetables and realistic key results; oversee the internal organization; anticipate and implement systems to markedly grow the organization; effectively work with and provide leadership to value-based chapter activities; earn respect as an organization spokesperson and enhance the organization's image; work with the Medical Advisory Committee to advocate, promote and implement patient programs and legislative activities and provide funding leadership to successfully procure funds from foundations, corporations, individual donors and partner groups.
Our successful candidate will have a Bachelor Degree and 5 - 7 years nonprofit management experience including direct Board involvement and specifically working with an organization that has a chapter model and uses volunteers to deliver programs; proven leadership in managing growth and change; a successful record of program development and fundraising activities; ability to work with staff in multiple locations; intellectual agility, be a quick learner and possess impressive verbal and written communication skills.
This position will be located in Dallas, Texas. Our successful candidate will reside in Texas and if that requires relocation that will be your personal responsibility. Program & Volunteer Manager

We are a national non-profit organization for ovarian cancer education and awareness. We have a network of nearly 50 volunteer Chapters throughout the country. We are currently seeking a Program & Volunteer Manager for either our Dallas, TX or Pleasanton, CA location.
In this rewarding position, you will have the opportunity to oversee the coordination and administration of all aspects of the ongoing programs including planning, leading, developing and maintaining program activities. This is a critical role in our organization as our program activities advance our organization's mission, engage the public, and cultivate our role in the local community. This role will report directly to senior management.

In this rewarding part time role, you will have the opportunity to provide leadership, outreach and administrative services to our Dallas Chapter. We will rely on your solid organizational and communication skills to facilitate communication and dissemination of education and awareness information about ovarian cancer to the local community.

The work schedule for this opportunity includes 20-30 hours/week. The ability to work full time hours between the months of July - September is required. We offer a competitive salary of $18-21/hour commensurate on experience.
